What it changes
The benefits
A shutter is part of the window, just like a moulding — not a blind you add in front. We offer it in two materials: real wood, for warmth and special shapes, and PVC, for humid rooms.
No cord, no mechanism
A rod tilts the louvres, and that's it.
The same supplier for both
Wood and PVC share the same colour codes, so the two coordinate in the home. We compare samples with you before ordering.
How it works
Our two families
- Real wood shuttersCabinet-grade quality, hand-stained, lacquered in any Benjamin Moore colour. The only one of our products whose louvres tilt in a specially shaped window (triangle, arch, round).
- PVC shuttersThe look of wood, without its sensitivity to moisture. The choice for a bathroom, a laundry room, or any very humid room.

Wood or PVC?
Real wood keeps the advantage of true grain and special shapes. PVC wins in humid or very sunny rooms, where real wood would warp. The choice depends mainly on the room.

Operation
Millwork, not a mechanism
Shutters, in wood or PVC, have no motorized version: the louvres are tilted by hand, with the rod.
Warranty. Both shutter families are guaranteed for 5 years by Le Gars des Stores.
Our warranties are in addition to the warranties provided by law.

Can they be motorized?
No, neither family has a motorized version: it's fixed millwork, not an electronic mechanism.
How much does it cost?
The price depends on the material, the louvre width and the size. Text us a photo of your windows at (514) 967-3629 to get started; the firm price comes after the measurements are verified: at the in-home consultation, or with your true measurements if you order yourself.
Where do you install them?
The West Island and Montreal, Vaudreuil-Dorion, the South Shore, the North Shore, western Laval, and the Eastern Townships with our team on site. Elsewhere, depending on the project.
