What it changes

The benefits

Eleven families of interior blinds and shades, each with its own use — from the solar shade that keeps the view to the shutter that becomes part of the window. This page brings them together to help you find your way; each family then has its own full page, with its specifications, motorization and warranties.

One measurement, every choice

We show you the options that really make sense for your window, rather than guessing online.

Child safe, everywhere

Child-safe covered chain, cordless (spring-loaded), draw wand system or motor: none of our options leaves an accessible loop.

Motorizable, almost everywhere

Most of our families can be motorized with Somfy, to control everything from a remote, the app, or your voice.

5- to 10-year warranty depending on the family

Each product page gives the exact warranty period; our solar and blackout shades are guaranteed for 10 years.

How it works

Our blind and shade families

  1. Solar shadesIn high demand: the view stays, the glare and heat go. Openness from 1% to 5%, 10-year warranty.
  2. Dual zebra shadesLight-filtering and opaque bands that slide in front of each other — the finest light control, without ever closing completely unless you want to. A favourite in everyday homes.
  3. Blackout shadesNear-complete darkness for a bedroom, a home theatre, or a night-shift worker. 10-year warranty.
  4. Cellular shadesCells that trap air: the best insulator in our lineup, against both cold and heat.
  5. Shangri-La shadesFabric vanes between two sheers, tiltable like a venetian blind but always diffused. The interior designers' favourite.
  6. Roman shadesA curtain look, in shade fabric or in workroom-made drapery fabric, with an optional blackout lining on the drapery version.
  7. Vertical blindsThe classic for patio doors and large sliding windows — less and less trendy, but still practical for large openings.
  8. Real wood blindsHand-stained wood, lacquered in any Benjamin Moore colour, or colour matched to your furniture.
  9. Faux wood blindsThe look of wood without its sensitivity to moisture — the choice for kitchens and bathrooms.

Function or design: where to start?

Start with your main need: privacy in the evening, glare control, darkness or design. Dual zebra, Shangri-La and cellular shades offer different levels of control; light-filtering and Roman shades focus more on the look. We compare fabrics in front of your window before you choose.

Somfy motorization

Most of our blind and shade families can be motorized with Somfy — battery or hardwired, remote or TaHoma app. Cellular shades and the vertical sheer shade are motorized with Dooya; for cellular shades, a Neo Smart Controller handles home automation integration.

Warranty. The warranty varies by family: 10 years on solar and blackout shades, 5 years on the other blind and shade families. Each product page gives the exact warranty period and what is covered.

Our warranties are in addition to the warranties provided by law.

Frequently asked questions

We answer

I don't know which blind to choose. Where do I start?

With the room and the need: a view to keep (solar shade), privacy in the evening (dual zebra or Shangri-La), complete darkness (blackout), insulation (cellular), or the look (Roman, wood). We show you the samples in your home and help you decide.

Can everything be motorized?

The vast majority, yes, with a Somfy motor — except shutters, vertical blinds and sliding panels, which are operated by hand. Cellular shades and the vertical sheer shade use a Dooya motor rather than Somfy.

What's the price difference between the families?

Solar and dual zebra shades are generally the most affordable; real wood blinds and Shangri-La shades are more high-end. We give you an idea of the price after seeing your windows.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the family, the size and the operation. Text us a photo of your windows with approximate measurements (width × height, in inches) at (514) 967-3629 to get started; the firm price comes after the measurements are verified: at the in-home consultation, or with your true measurements if you order yourself.

Where do you install them?

The West Island and Montreal, Vaudreuil-Dorion, the South Shore, the North Shore, western Laval, and the Eastern Townships with our team on site. Elsewhere, depending on the project.
