What it changes

The benefits

The faux wood blind reproduces the look of a real wood blind while standing up to what real wood fears: moisture, heat and direct sun. The slats don't fade, warp or crack over time. It's the choice we recommend in a kitchen, a bathroom, or any room where real wood would age poorly.

Resists moisture and sun

Doesn't fade, warp or crack — even in a bathroom or kitchen, or behind a south-facing window.

The look of wood, without the compromise

A wide variety of colours, grains and textured finishes closely imitate real wood.

Child safe

Cordless system and tilt wand: no cord, no chain within reach of little ones.

Easy to maintain

A damp cloth is all it takes; the material doesn't stain and stands up well to everyday kitchen use.

Custom finishes on request

Beyond the standard colours, custom finishes and tints are possible for a truly unique look.

Made in Canada

This product is made in Canada — a local choice, with lead times and follow-up that a product imported from far away doesn't always allow.

How it works

How it works

  1. Slats that imitate woodA wood-look technology gives the slats the grain, texture and colour of real wood, in a material that resists moisture and UV rays without fading or warping.
  2. Raise and lower without a cordA cordless (spring-loaded) system raises and lowers the blind: you gently push the bottom rail, and it stays where you put it. No lift cord.
  3. A tilt wand for the slatsA rigid tilt wand on the side of the blind tilts the slats to adjust light and privacy, with no cord or chain.
  4. Light and easy to installLighter than a real wood blind of the same size, which simplifies installation, especially on a large window.

Faux wood or real wood?

Faux wood is more stable in humid rooms or rooms that get a lot of sun. In a dry room, real wood offers natural grain and weight. The choice depends on the room, the style and the budget.

Where it goes

Applications

Kitchens

Bathrooms

The classic application: constant humidity, no worries about warping.

Full-sun windows

Frequently asked questions

We answer

Why not real wood in my bathroom?

Real wood reacts to constant humidity: it can warp, crack or fade over time. Faux wood stands up to these conditions without flinching, while keeping the look of wood.

Does it really look like wood?

Yes, up close and from a distance: the wood-look technology reproduces the grain and texture very accurately. Most people don't notice the difference once it's installed.

Why cordless and not a chain?

A lift chain forms a loop, a hazard for young children. The cordless system does the same job — raising and lowering the blind — with no cord or chain.

Can it be motorized?

Yes, a motorized version is available for anyone who prefers to do everything with a button or a remote, especially handy on a large window.

How much does it cost?

The price depends on the size and the finish options. Text us a photo of your windows with approximate measurements (width × height, in inches) at (514) 967-3629 to get started; the firm price comes after the measurements are verified: at the in-home consultation, or with your true measurements if you order yourself.

Where do you install them?

The West Island and Montreal, Vaudreuil-Dorion, the South Shore, the North Shore, western Laval, and the Eastern Townships with our team on site. Elsewhere, depending on the project.
