What it changes
The benefits
The real wood blind combines warmth, durability and a natural material. Each slat is stained by hand, which brings out the grain and creates subtle tones that a synthetic material has a hard time reproducing. It's a lasting choice for dry rooms.
The warmth of real wood
No synthetic material fully reproduces the grain, weight and visual warmth of real wood.
A durable, natural choice
For anyone who prefers a natural material over plastic or composite, real wood remains the most honest choice.
Lacquered, stained, or colour matched
Lacquered like paint, in any Benjamin Moore colour — white, beige, or a bolder shade. Hand-stained, in a wide choice of natural wood tones. Or colour matched, to match the blind exactly to a piece of furniture or an element of the decor.
The same wood as our shutters
Our wood blinds and our wood shutters come from the same supplier, with the same colour codes: the two coordinate from one room to the next. We compare samples with you before ordering.
Adds value to the home
A real wood blind gets noticed, and is often seen as a true finishing element rather than a simple window covering.
Child safe
Cordless system and tilt wand: no cord, no chain within reach of little ones.
Made in Canada
This product is made in Canada — a local choice, with lead times and follow-up that a product imported from far away doesn't always allow.
How it works
How it works
- Real wood, hand-stainedEach slat is real wood, stained by hand rather than in an automated factory — which gives more vivid and natural colours, with slight variations from one slat to the next, like real wood.
- Three slat widths1 in for a fine, discreet look, 1 3/8 in for an in-between, or 2 in for the most classic width and the most light control per slat.
- Raise and lower without a cordA cordless (spring-loaded) system raises and lowers the blind: you gently push the bottom rail, and it stays where you put it. No lift cord.
- A tilt wand for the slatsA rigid tilt wand on the side of the blind tilts the slats to adjust light and privacy, with no cord or chain.

Real wood or faux wood?
Real wood offers natural grain and a hand-applied stain. In a humid room, choose faux wood or PVC instead: they stay more stable when exposed to moisture. Save real wood for dry rooms.

Frequently asked questions
We answer
Which slat width should I choose?
2 in is the most classic and most common choice. 1 3/8 in is an in-between. 1 in offers a finer, more discreet look, for those who prefer tighter lines.
Can it go in a bathroom?
We keep real wood for dry rooms. In a bathroom or a humid room, choose our faux wood blind instead: the same wood look, without worrying about moisture.
Why cordless and not a chain?
A lift chain forms a loop, a hazard for young children. The cordless system does the same job — raising and lowering the blind — with no cord or chain.
Will my shutters and wood blinds be the same colour?
They are designed to coordinate: both come from the same supplier and share the same colour codes. We compare samples with you before ordering, useful if you have shutters in some rooms and wood blinds elsewhere.
Can I match the blind to my furniture?
Yes, with colour matching: we take the exact colour of a piece of furniture or an element of the decor, and reproduce it on the blind, lacquered or stained. It's as simple as choosing a Benjamin Moore colour for your walls.
Why are the colours stained by hand?
Hand staining gives richer, more natural colours than an automated process, with slight variations from one slat to the next — exactly what you'd expect from real wood.
How much does it cost?
The price depends on the slat width, the size and the operation. Text us a photo of your windows with approximate measurements (width × height, in inches) at (514) 967-3629 to get started; the firm price comes after the measurements are verified: at the in-home consultation, or with your true measurements if you order yourself.
Where do you install them?
The West Island and Montreal, Vaudreuil-Dorion, the South Shore, the North Shore, western Laval, and the Eastern Townships with our team on site. Elsewhere, depending on the project.
