The double track is the complete solution: a sheer on one track, a blackout curtain on a second track right behind it, one in front of the other. During the day, the sheer filters the light and keeps the room lively. In the evening, you close the blackout curtain over it for darkness and privacy. One measuring visit, one installation, two uses.

The sheer can be understated and the curtain dressier, or the reverse: two style choices in the same window.

How it works
How it works
- Two layered tracksA first track close to the wall or the window, a second one in front, toward the room. Two common ways to fill them: a more economical blackout curtain at the back and a decorative sheer in front, to save on the visible piece; or the reverse, the sheer at the back and a decorative blackout curtain in front, for a hotel-style effect. There is no fixed rule: it is a budget and style choice we make together.
- Two fabrics, one heading style eachThe sheer and the blackout curtain can have the same heading style, or two different styles. We choose both fabrics together, from our collections.
- Operated separatelyEach track is operated independently: you open the sheer without touching the blackout curtain, and vice versa.
- Draw wand or motor, on one or both tracksWe can motorize both tracks, just one, or neither: a hotel-style draw wand for simplicity, a Somfy motor for comfort.

How much space it needs
Two layered tracks take a little more depth than a single track: not a problem for most windows, but we take it into account for a very narrow recess or a low ceiling near the wall. We check it at the measuring appointment.

Each track is motorized independently. Many clients motorize the blackout curtain, which gets closed every evening, and keep the sheer on a draw wand, since it gets adjusted less often.
Warranty. Both tracks and the installation are covered for 5 years by Le Gars des Stores. The Somfy motors, if any, are covered for 5 years. The fabrics and the sewing are covered against manufacturing defects.
Our warranties are in addition to the warranties provided by law.

Frequently asked questions

Can I start with one track and add the other later?
It is possible, but we recommend planning both tracks from the initial measuring: adding a second track afterward sometimes requires adjusting the first one. Tell us your plan from the start, even if you install only one fabric to begin with.
Which goes in front, the sheer or the blackout curtain?
No fixed rule. A more economical blackout curtain at the back and a decorative sheer in front, to lower the cost; or the reverse, a simple sheer at the back and a decorative blackout curtain in front, for a cozy, almost hotel-like style. Same operation either way; we choose together based on budget and look.
Does it take more space than a single curtain?
A little more depth at the track, but nothing that changes the overall look of the window. We check the available space at the measuring appointment, especially for a low ceiling or a narrow recess.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the two fabrics, the width, the heading styles and the operating system chosen for each track. Where do you install?
