01 — At a glance
What it does, simply.
The Ysia 1 Zigbee operates Somfy's motorized Zigbee window coverings and its smart plugs: one shade, or one group of shades, on a single channel.
It can be used on its own, as a direct control, or in a system built around the TaHoma switch. On the back, a programming button and a QR code are used to pair it with the Zigbee network.

Before you buy, good to know…
- Zigbee only. It does not operate RTS motors: those need a Situo, a Telis or a DecoFlex RTS.
- Without TaHoma, the Ysia operates the shades locally, but with no app, no schedules and no voice control.
- Longer lead time: Somfy's 2026 price list flags this model as a long-lead-time item. Plan for it early in the project.
- To operate several shades separately, the Ysia 5 ($136) offers five channels.

What customers ask.
Do I need a TaHoma to use an Ysia?
No. Somfy publishes a standalone Zigbee setup controlled by Ysia remotes only (guide in the documentation below). The TaHoma switch adds the app, schedules and voice control.
Does it work with an RTS motor?
No. It is a Zigbee control. RTS motors are operated with a Situo, a Telis, a DecoFlex RTS or the TaHoma switch.
How is it paired with the network?
With its programming button or its QR code, both on the back. We take care of it when installing and programming the motors.
What batteries does it use?
Two AAA batteries, included.
Do you install in Montreal, Sherbrooke and the Eastern Townships?
Yes. Le Gars des Stores serves the West Island and Montreal, Vaudreuil-Dorion, the South Shore, the North Shore, western Laval and the Eastern Townships (Sherbrooke, Magog); elsewhere, depending on the project. We handle measuring, made-to-measure ordering, installation and programming.
