01 — At a glance
What it does, simply.
The Ysia 5 Zigbee operates up to five Zigbee shades or groups of shades, one per channel, as well as Somfy's Zigbee smart plugs. The selector button picks the channel; the lights show which one is active.
Like the Ysia 1, it can be used on its own or in a system built around the TaHoma switch, and pairs with the network through its programming button or QR code.

- Zigbee only. It does not operate RTS motors.
- Without TaHoma, no app, no schedules and no voice control.
- For a single shade or group, the Ysia 1 ($103) is enough.
- Somfy does not publish a battery life figure for this model.

What customers ask.
How many shades can an Ysia 5 operate?
Five channels, and each channel can operate one Zigbee shade or a group of them.
Do I need a TaHoma to use an Ysia?
No. Somfy publishes a standalone Zigbee setup with Ysia remotes. The TaHoma switch adds the app, schedules and voice control.
Does it work with an RTS motor?
No. It is a Zigbee control. RTS motors are operated with a Situo, a Telis, a DecoFlex RTS or the TaHoma switch.
Can it switch on a lamp?
Yes, if the lamp is plugged into a Somfy Zigbee smart plug: the Ysia also operates those plugs.
Do you install in Montreal, Sherbrooke and the Eastern Townships?
