What it does, simply.
Somfy sells magnetic charging in two parts, compatible with V2 built-in lithium-ion battery motors and with the external battery. The magnetic adaptor plugs into the charging port and stays in place on the motor bracket.
The magnetic rigid cable links the lithium-ion charger V2 to the adaptor, which it connects to by magnet. Somfy's guides for these parts are illustrated, with no text.

Do I need both parts?
Somfy's guides show them together: the adaptor on the motor, the cable between the charger and the adaptor. Somfy sells them separately, $16 and $20.
Is the charger included?
No. The lithium-ion charger V2 ($29) is ordered separately.
Is my motor compatible?
V2 WireFree motors with a built-in lithium-ion battery and the external battery are on Somfy's list, including six motors in our lineup. We check yours before ordering.
Do you install in Montreal, Sherbrooke and the Eastern Townships?
