What it does, simply.
This wall charger recharges Somfy WireFree motors with a built-in lithium-ion battery and Somfy's external lithium-ion battery. Its cable is 6 ft long.
According to Somfy, a full charge takes up to six hours, and a full battery lasts about a year at one up and one down cycle per day. The charger light is red while charging and green when the battery is full. The shade can be used while charging.

Before you buy, good to know…
- Not for the Sonesse 40 WireFree Zigbee: that motor charges with a USB-C charger; the two are not interchangeable.
- Somfy asks that this charger be used with its built-in lithium-ion battery motors, and indoors only.
- Do not charge while washing windows or during maintenance, according to Somfy's instructions.
- For a hard-to-reach window, the solar panel kit removes the need for manual charging.

What customers ask.
Does the charger come with the motor?
Not always. For some motors, including the Sonesse 40 WireFree RTS, it is sold separately. We specify it in every quote.
How long does a charge take?
Up to six hours for a built-in battery motor, according to Somfy. A full battery then lasts about a year, at one up and one down per day.
Can the shade be used while charging?
Yes. Somfy states that the shade works normally while charging.
Does it fit the Sonesse 40 WireFree Zigbee?
No. That motor uses a separate USB-C charger; the two are not interchangeable.
Do you install in Montreal, Sherbrooke and the Eastern Townships?
